Meet the Human Risks Team – Software Developers
Our software developers are the backbone of our company. With their hard work, they create and constantly improve the Human Risks platform. Needless to say, Akos Madarasz is a vital member of the team. Today he shares how he keeps up with the challenging, yet rewarding work in the field of software development.
What inspired you to work in software development?
I think software development is one of the coolest and most fun jobs out there. I enjoy solving problems and building solutions; learning new concepts all the time, and applying them in a real life setting.
How does working at Human Risks help you to grow and develop as a professional?
At Human Risks, I have a full stack job description. This means I continuously have to study/work with multiple areas of programming. This includes frontend, backend, databases, cloud and many different services. We also use many modern frameworks/services in our development.
How would you describe the company culture at Human Risks?
The company culture is very modern. The environment is very friendly and great for work.
Can you tell us a little bit about what are you working on right now?
I am currently investigating modern authentication frameworks which could further improve our security on the platform.
How do you do to make sure you stay on top of your game?
I spend a lot of my free time studying programming technologies and writing projects. This helps me keep up-to-date with standards, and to explore and try out new technologies.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
The aspect of my role that I most enjoy is the freedom of using new technologies. Other than budget, there are no constraints on what technologies we can use. This allows us to find the most effective modern tools for solving problems.
What do you think clients like about the functionality of the platform?
I think customers like the ease of usability of our platform. To have quick access to vital information. And to make their day-to-day operations more streamlined and efficient.
What do you think is the most important consideration when working with a group of people with diverse skills and backgrounds?
I think the most important consideration when collaborating in any group is clear communication and defined standards. It is important that everyone is on the same page, and that the same work doesn’t get done twice. Furthermore, it is also important that everyone can pick up someone else’s work, which is much easier when everyone follows certain standards.
Are you excited about the future growth and tech development of the platform?
We are constantly looking into modern technologies, therefore I am really looking forward to seeing how it will grow and where we will be in the future.
What has been your most rewarding experience while at Human Risks?
My most rewarding experience has to be when we updated our backend framework to the newest version. It was definitely a struggle, but the benefits were great. It felt amazing when it was finally done.
Thank you for catching up with us, Akos! We wish you good luck and more challenging and rewarding projects.
